Youth Ministry

We are beyond excited about what is happening in our growing youth ministry! Every week there are multiple opportunities for teens to gather and to grow in their faith. So much happens in the teenage years, and it is important to us to provide an engaging, fun, supportive, encouraging, and loving environment for teenagers. Each moment that we have with pre-teens and teens counts, and our youth ministry is designed to meet the needs of youth and their families. What to expect and how to engage your pre-teen or teen:

We appreciate you trusting your pre-teens or teens with us, and so we know it is comforting to share what to expect in our youth ministry. Our weekly youth meeting takes place on Sunday nights at 5:00pm, and begins with a meal and fellowship time, followed by a game time, and then we break out into small groups. Our small groups are separated between middle schoolers and high schoolers. During the small group time, each teen engages in a lesson and discussion time that encourages them in their faith journey and relationship with Jesus.

Youth Group Activities:

Sunday morning youth small group at Trinity UMC at 9:00am

Sunday Night Youth Group at 5:00-7:00pm in the Trinity UMC Fellowship Hall

Throughout the year there are various youth trips and special events, including an annual mission trip in the summer.

Middle School

Our youth ministry begins with middle school age students starting in the sixth grade. During our youth group meetings on Sunday Nights, we split the middle school students into a separate small group. Much development and transitions happen in the middle school years! During this time of change and growth, we believe that it is important to minister with Middle Schoolers in a small group setting. During this breakout session, middle school students are guided by a dedicated small group volunteer who leads them in an engaging lesson and discussion time.

High School

The high school years is a time of developing and maturing. High School students enter into high school as teenagers and then graduate as young adults. Teenagers in this stage of development need encouragement and guidance as they begin to mature into the beginnings of adulthood. During our youth group meetings on Sunday nights, we believe that it is important to engage with high school students in a small group setting. During this breakout session, high school students are guided by our Family Minister who leads them in a relevant time of discussion and learning. We believe that it is important to guide high school students in their relationship with Jesus and support them in their faith journey.
